Faithways Leadership Academy

In listening to the experiences of youth today, we affirm the enormous challenges that our world is facing, including mental health crisis, ecological issues, racism, and religious and political polarization. Christians are called to address, not ignore, these issues.

Our program develops leadership skills in students who are ready to work for change. Spanning from April to November, the 2025 cohort will have three major components: a virtual weekend retreat, a week-long summer camp, and optional participation in a weekend civil rights trip with Georgetown College faculty, staff, and students. The 2025 cohort will be made of up to 35 high school students (current 9th–12th graders).

Any student who completes Faithways Academy and is not receiving an exclusive scholarship to GC (such as athletics or Legacy and Legends) will receive a $10,000 scholarship to Georgetown College – $2,500 per year for four years.

Faithways Leadership Academy CULTIVATES RESILIENT FAITH among young leaders.

Resilient faith is grounded in care for the soul

We are complex beings called to wholeness. Faithways invites students to care for their full selves and to engage the world holistically.

 

Resilient faith is strong yet adaptive

Faithways invites students to become curious about their faith, knowing the freedom to ask questions deepens, rather than threatens, faith that is rooted in love of God, self, and neighbor.

Resilient faith seeks authentic community and shared abundance

We are called to participate in a world where everyone is valued as part of the beloved community and where there is more than enough to go around. Faithways invites students to show up as themselves, engage in brave dialogue, value the different perspectives of others, and imagine how we might create more just societies together.

 

Faithways - costs

Summary: 

$300 program cost includes:

Spring retreat: April 24–25, 2025, online

Summer camp: June 15–20, 2025, at Georgetown College

 

Additional $70 covers:

Fall civil rights trip (optional): November 8–10, 2025, roundtrip bus travel from Georgetown College to Alabama
